My Approach: Finding Positive Change

At Begin Anu Psychotherapy, I provide trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families seeking meaningful, lasting change. I believe that everyone deserves to live their best life, and my goal is to empower you to achieve it.  I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges by creating a safe, collaborative space that encourages insight, healing, and growth beyond coping.


 As an experienced and compassionate therapist, my approach to therapy is warm, relational, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy tailored to your needs and goals. You will not be rushed, you will not be judged. I work at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and aligned with your healing process.

The stories we tell ourselves about our experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world. In therapy, we acknowledge the external factors that led you here, but we also explore new narratives.  Using this approach helps us to focus on identifying unhelpful or limiting narratives and gently reframe them into ones that reflect resilience, clarity, and self-compassion. Through this process,  new perspectives and possibilities can emerge.

Trauma can shape how we feel, relate, and move through the world, often in ways we don’t fully realize. It can also influence how our bodies and minds respond to stress, closeness, or perceived threat. A Trauma-Informed approach means creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and in control of your healing. I move at a pace that feels right for you, with your comfort and consent guiding each step. Therapy is collaborative — you are never pushed, and your boundaries are always honoured as we work together toward healing.

For meaningful, lasting change to take hold, therapy often extends beyond the session itself. I support you in integrating insights, skills, and self-awareness into your daily life through gentle practices and practical between-session exercises.
