Think of therapy as a quiet space where you get to unpack your story. You talk, we explore, we process, we connect the dots, and we build next steps together—no judgment, no weird vibes.
No, that’s literally the opposite of the point. Show up anxious, confused, overwhelmed—that’s the raw material we work with.
Then we start right where you are. A sigh, a shrug, a “I don’t even know.” That’s enough. You can easily book online at https://beginanu.janeapp.com/
If something in your life feels heavy, tangled, lonely, sad, traumatic, messy, or just… off, Therapy is a safe place to sort it out.
Tears are just your body speaking in high-definition. Totally normal, valid, and welcome.
Yes—your words stay in the room unless there’s a safety concern, like harm to yourself or others.
For sure. Different therapist, different relationship, different season of your life—sometimes the second (or third) try is the perfect fit.
That’s okay. You lead; I follow. We open doors when you’re ready, not when we’re rushed.
Nope. Therapy is for anyone who wants support, clarity, peace, growth, healing or just a safe place to unpack life.
It’s cozy, flexible, and you can bring your blanket or your dog. Same depth, same connection—just through the screen.
I won’t run your life, but I will guide you, challenge you, and help you see choices you couldn’t see before.
Totally normal. Trust builds slowly, like sunrise—you don’t notice it until the room is full of light.
Absolutely. Your identity isn’t a sidebar—it’s part of the story, and it belongs in the healing space.
Your first session may come with a mix of emotions — curiosity, uncertainty, nervousness, or relief. That’s all part of beginning something new. We’ll start by reviewing what therapy involves, how confidentiality works, and any necessary consent or paperwork so you feel informed and comfortable with the process. From there, we take time to explore what’s bringing you in, what you’d like support with, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There’s no rush and no expectation to have it all figured out. This first meeting is about creating a foundation of understanding and trust, and beginning the work at a pace that feels right for you.
Unfortunately, no. After you pay for your session, you will receive your receipt automatically via email. You can then submit this receipt as a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Yes, but please check your insurance policy to make sure it covers Social Workers. It may also fall under Psychotherapy, Mental Health, Counselling or Marriage Counselling.
Most clients do therapy weekly, while others prefer bi-weekly, or monthly. Clients normally work with their therapist to determine frequency based on the severity, urgency and recency of the issue. Most clients will start therapy at a high frequency then reduce over time as they move from coping to healing.
